Anti-waste Recipe: Peasant’s Cake
Ingredients
- 14 oz Boiled potatoes
- 2 Apples
- 1,7 oz Breadcrumbs
- 3,5 oz Brown sugar
- 1 lemon zest
- 2,8 oz Butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 Baking powder for cakes
Directions
Boil the water and drop the potatoes. Once cooked, put them to a bowl to mash them and add the breadcrumbs, lemon zest, butter, brown sugar, two egg yolks and baking powder. Mix everything and slowly add the egg whites whipped separately. Add the sliced ββapples and mix the dough with a spatula.
Baking
Pour the mixture into our wrinklewall aluminum container and sprinkle the surface with brown sugar. Bake the Peasant’s cake in a preheated oven at 356Β° F for about an hour. Test the toothpick before turning off the oven and serve the cake at room temperature!
