Italy – Potato Gateau Recipe
- 1 lb 8 oz potatoes
- 2 oz scamorza (italian cheese)
- 2 oz parmesan
- 2 oz mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz cube ham
- 2 eggs
- 4/5 tablespoons milk
Wash and peel the potatoes. Boil them for about 6 to 7 minutes and mash them in a bowl with a potato ricer.
Mix the potatoes while they are still hot with the parmesan, mozzarella, eggs, salt, ham, scamorza, pepper, and nutmeg.
Put the potatoes cream in our lacquered Smoothwall and flatten the surface with a spatula.
Cover the surface with butter flakes and breadcrumbs.
Bake until golden and crisp, about 30 minutes at 350° F, and serve warm.
