Italy – Leek and Smoked Bacon Quiche Recipe
- 1 Round puff pastry
- 3 leeks
- 2 ½ oz smoked bacon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup cream
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
Cut the leeks into rounds. Heat a tablespoon of butter in a large frying pan and add the leeks and the smoked bacon. In the meantime, mix the milk, cream, eggs and a pinch of salt and pepper together in a bowl and whisk to combine. Add parmesan cheese.
Roll puff pastry into our Contital aluminium container. Pour the mixture into the pastry case and fold the edges of the dough. Bake in the pre-heated oven ( 356°F) for 20 minutes. Leave to cool for a few minutes then serve.
