Microwave Oven – Beef olives in tomato sauce recipe

Ingredients for the beef:

  • 4 beef schnitzels
  • ½ onions, peeled and sliced
  • 15 olives
  • 2 teaspoons of capers
  • 1 slice of ham
  • 4 teaspoons of grated pecorino Romano
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • 250 ml tomato pulp
  • ½ chopped onion
  • 10 black olives
  • 2 teaspoons of capers
  • 2 teaspoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • Hot pepper
  • Salt
  • Pepper


For the sauce: put the chopped onion and the extra virgin olive oil into our lacquered Smoothwall aluminium container and microwave on High for 1 minute. Add the tomato pulp, the capers, the olives, the hot pepper and season the ingredients with  salt and pepper. Microwave for 8 minutes on High.

For the beef: put the onion, the capers, the olives and the ham in a mixer. Spread the filling thinly over each slice of meat, divide the stuffing evenly among the slices of meat and neatly roll up each slice to enclose the stuffing. Secure the rolls with wooden cocktail sticks or fine string. Spread the beef with grated pecorino, salt and pepper.


Put the rolls in the aluminium containers with the sauce and microwave for 6 minutes on combi function (micro+grill). Add a little water if necessary.
