Sardinia – Potato Pie recipeContital
2 lb potatoes
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup flour
1 ½ cup whole milk
2½ oz butter
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Cook potatoes in gently boiling water until tender for about 30 minutes, peel them and use a potato masher. Heat together on low heat, potatoes, milk and butter, and mix until just combined. Include sugar and mix again. Turn off the fire and add the yolks, the flour and the albumens, in that order. Amalgamates all ingredients and add a lemon zest.
Put the dough in our Happy Day aluminium container. Pre-heat the oven to 356F for about 25/30 minutes. Let it cool, add powdered sugar and serve it.
