
Traditional Oven โ Meatballs with Peas Recipe
Ingredients (4 serves)
- 7 oz medium or small peas
- 17,5 oz potatoes
- 1 egg
- Half a shallot
- 2 tablespoons grated cheese
- 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- Salt
- Pepper
- Oil
- Basil leaves
Directions
Boil the potatoes in salted water for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, fry the shallot in a large pan with a drizzle of oil and add the peas. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes. When the ingredients are ready, pour them into a large bowl and add the egg, grated cheese, 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs and finely chopped basil leaves. Mix everything with the help of a fork and, once you have obtained a homogeneous mixture, prepare the meatballs with your hands. About a dozen should come.
Once the meatballs are prepared, bread them in a bowl and place them in an aluminium tray. Wet them with a drizzle of oil and put them in a preheated oven at 392ยฐ F for about 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can also fry them in a pan with plenty of boiling oil. Cooked the meatballs, decorate them with basil leaves and serve in our single-use aluminium plates.
