By virtue of these key concepts and the particular historical period we are living, the company has decided to launch on the market a new line of disposable aluminum plates for large retailers and the Ho.Re.Ca. sector. The range of products, characterized by an innovative and functional design, is entirely made with 100% recycled material. In addition, to confirm the company’s environmental commitment, Contital has also decided to use the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodology to scientifically and transparently assess the potential environmental impacts of the new line of plain and lacquered disposable plates. The LCA Study, verified with Critical Review by the SGS organization, highlights how the Contital integrated cycle allows the plates to obtain very competitive LCA values.

To meet the needs of the food delivery and takeway market, the plates have rigid walls and a smooth edge that can be sealed with liquid-safe films – traditional and organic – or closed with pre-formed lids in recyclable material, to ensure safety and hygiene. They have a competitive cost, when compared to similar products made with cellulose pulp or bio-plastic and are suitable for use in traditional and microwave ovens, for freezing and deep-freezing.
This new range of products, which already won three international awards in the first months of 2020, is available in various sizes (multipurpose, soup, deep and dessert) and shapes (square, round and others in progress).
The disposable aluminum plates have been designed to offer a practical, aesthetically appealing and sustainable alternative to a public that is increasingly looking for a quality and environmentally friendly product that can be used comfortably at home.
