Aluminum containers: sizes and uses
There are aluminium containers of different sizes and shapes based on the final application and the use for which they are intended. Usually, the dimensions of the food trays vary according to the portions they can contain ranging from a minimum of one to a maximum of eight without considering the exceptions that aluminum containers of particular size may concern. Inevitably, the trays that can contain one or two portions and that therefore have small sizes are particularly suitable for food delivery while the containers of eight or more portions are more suitable for restaurant and catering services. This only depends on the food they can contain as the request for six / eight portions from canteens or during events is more common than during a dinner at home.
What are aluminium containers used for?
Thanks to the multiple sizes in which they are available and the different properties that characterize the material that composes them, aluminium containers are widely used. In particular, food trays are not only used by commercial establishments to transport food prepared on site, but also by consumers who choose to portion home-cooked recipes to keep them in the freezer or refrigerator. In this regard, it is always good to remember that there must be a difference in the choice of containers based on the food to be stored. For highly acidic or salty foods, such as lemon or tomato, it is recommended to use lacquered aluminium containers; otherwise, it is also possible to use plain aluminum trays. After having stored the recipes prepared previously, the same containers can also be used to heat food in the traditional oven or in the microwave oven.
