Chemical degreasing process for aluminium food trays
Aluminium is the ideal material for food containers thanks to its properties: it provides a 100% barrier  against water, gas and external agents; it has a high resistance to corrosion; it transfers heat homogeneously and very quickly. In addition, aluminium trays are available in different sizes and shapes – circular, rectangular or square – because aluminium is a flexible material that is 100% recyclable.
Taking some precautions, aluminium containers can be used in ovens, microwave ovens and barbecue. They can also be put in the fridge or freezer without changing the taste of the food.
Chemical degreasing process
Contital provides more than 400 types of aluminium containers supplying over 40 countries worldwide. It offers different packaging formats to respond to market needs guaranteeing high quality products. Why is Contital different from the other aluminium food container manufacturers? Because of its chemical degreasing process.
Aluminium strip passes through baths containing aqueous solutions with acid or alkaline degreasers and surfactants added, with a subsequent demineralised water rinse. At the end of the process, aluminium strip passes through a hot air drying tunnel where any residual fluid is completely dried. Chemical degreasing process is very important for aluminium food containers.
